CITIZEN OF THE STATE

In the same hospital, upon the same bed, different people die in their own way. The photographer Quentin Shih thinks that hospitals, which have always defined the life and death, are a symbol of power and violence. People, being born and dying here seem so insignificant and powerless.

In this series, Quentin, using surrealist techniques and accurate pictorial composition, shows what happens during the death of normal people in a country obsessed with heroism.
